Trial by Fire

Trial by Fire

FireDesire for change. Irritated by the unfamiliar. Tired but unwilling to give up. Nothing like an outdoor fire at dusk on a warm November day.

What is it about fire that is so soothing? Huge evergreens swayed in the Chinook winds. The light waned.

Feeling a bit out of sorts today. I thought maybe the Chinook winds were playing havoc with my psyche.
Puttering around the yard, was my self imposed therapy. Our unseasonably warm temperatures are so welcome, and the winds actually blew some of the cobwebs out of my hair.

Let the mystical fire burn deep enough to purify my weary soul. The fire has began to melt the iciness of spirit, softening, turning to liquid around the edges, the outpouring of that which has nearly been forgotten. Smoothness of fear passing, with renewal, beginnings, and transforming the life force. Trial by fire.

The artist must create a spark before he can make a fire and before art is born, the artist must be ready to be consumed by the fire of his own creation.~Auguste Rodin
