Light is a Wonderful Thing

Light is a wonderful thing . . . to a painter that is.
I am still working on the fifth and sixth painting layers. As I mentioned before, my underpainting was a bit too dark, so now, I must raise the values.

I have used a variety of pigments here. Cad Yellow Med, Turner’s Yellow, Naples Yellow, Zinc white, as well as Quin Gold, transparent Burnt Umber, transparent Raw Sienna, and transparent Burnt Sienna. In the next stage you will see the lights and darks coming together.
